Georgia Tusheti

Daily life in Tusheti. This region in the southeast of the Georgian Caucasus is only inhabited during the summer months. In winter the only pass in the mountains is cut off by the snow. The residents return to their villages from the Georgian capital Tbilisi around May, where they spend time with family and friends. Horses and sheep are important parts for the men in daily life, the women are mainly at home.
